BREED MENTORS
As a rare-breed club, the USNMC had developed and administered a testing process for those who would judge the Neapolitan Mastiff. This process, similar to that used by the AKC has several steps, including a written test on the standard and the breed; written assessments of dogs shown on a video-tape, in-the-ring apprenticing, and ring-side mentoring.
This is a list of those individuals who have taken and passed this testing process. These have been known as “USNMC-Sanctioned” judges. The USNMC also recognizes any FCI-approved judge for the Neapolitan Mastiff as a USNMC-Sanctioned judge.
USNMC-Sanctioned judges are in demand to judge Neapolitan Mastiff at specialties and other shows.
Any USNMC-Sanctioned Judge should be able to answer questions on the breed or the standard, and may be regarded as an acceptable mentor in the breed.
